Dr. Edwin Idegwu is a seasoned financial services executive and risk management expert with over three decades of extensive experience across banking, credit risk, enterprise risk management, recovery, and regulatory compliance.

He currently serves as General Manager, Enterprise Risk Management, and Chief Compliance Officer at AG Mortgage Bank Plc, where he leads the development and implementation of robust risk and compliance frameworks to support sustainable business operations.

Over the course of his distinguished career, he has held senior leadership roles in several reputable financial institutions, including Abbey Building Society, Sterling Bank, Access Bank, Mainstreet Bank (now Polaris Bank), Allstates Trust Bank, and Fortune Bank Plc. His broad expertise spans corporate banking, credit administration, and remedial management, positioning him as a well-rounded authority in financial risk and governance.

Dr. Idegwu holds a Ph.D. in Credit and Financial Management, alongside B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Economics, as well as an International Executive Postgraduate Diploma in Credit Management (UK).

He is a Chartered Management professional, a Fellow of the Business Recovery and Insolvency Practitioners Association of Nigeria, a Certified Management Consultant, and a holder of several other professional certifications. He is widely respected for his strategic insight, strong leadership, and ability to align sound risk management practices with long-term business growth.

In addition to his executive responsibilities, he is an accomplished facilitator and speaker, contributing his expertise to the development of professionals in risk, credit, insolvency and recovery management.
